Along with the community of the Fort Myers Universalist Unitarian Church, we are developing the first Quaker School in Fort Myers, called Watershed.
We are currently seeking approval from the City of Fort Myers to build a meetinghouse on the Universalist Unitarian Church property. This is the only Quaker meetinghouse currently being built in Florida.
Fort Myers Friends decided to be co-signers of a Faith Leaders’ Letter opposing the proposed State of Florida legislation entitled: “Combating Violence, Disorder and Looking and Law Enforcement Protection Act.” Click here to read the letter and list of co-signers.
